March 19, 2023 - A bit of bricking but wine was sound. Evident fruit both mature and alive, cherry and strawberry. Flavors of an earthy funk with good depth in the palate, tanin very light.

March 16, 2018 - Light, simple, acidic, yet still plainly a Langhe Nebbolo. Credit it with typicity, value, early maturation, and food-friendliness. Glad I stumbled upon it in the cellar at the right moment. No fruit likely to emerge in this one. Drink today or dump tomorrow.

November 26, 2017 - While still light, bright, and high acidity, compared to the bottle I drankd two years ago it has filled and rounded out (relatively) into a nice drinking Langhe nebbiolo. Not a great Barolo by any means, but for $20 it was a good match to my left over turkey and stuffing, thoroughly enjoyable and a nice QPR .

May 16, 2014 - I normally wouldn't even think about opening a Barolo this young, but given its $20 price tag (!!) and previous reviews, I figured I'd give it a shot. Don't really know what I expected, but this is a modern styled wine with little complexity or even nebbiolo character. There's some red fruit and a bit of licorice, but pretty simple stuff. Medium acid and finish, and tannins are lightly drying on the pop but integrate pretty quickly. Overall, I think there are better Langhe nebbiolo around this price that bring more varietal character, which is more important to me than "Barolo" on the bottle, so it's not a re-buy for me.
