November 13, 2017 - Blind tasting. Decanted 1/2 hour. Dull nose. Burnt rubber & leather - natural style. Spikey acidity, somewhat volatile. Rootbeer. Dark cherries, ripe. I was not overwhelmed but then tasted the next night and this had come around completely and was delicious: rich and round, very new world style, dark cherries, oak but retaining freshness. Still young or needs a very long decant. The best Cab Franc I have tried outside of the Loire - more Napa Valley style. Thanks GG!
