May 4, 2021 - This is the kind of bottle that makes you remember why you love Barolo so much. It seems to be in a great place...some signs of aging with the slightly brick edges, but fresh and vibrant with balanced acidity, fruit, and tannins. Has all the classic Barolo taste profiles in spades. Just a great bottle of wine.

October 5, 2018 - Sour cherries, raspberries menthol, tar, licorice. Full bodied. Definitely on the powerful side even for Barolo. 15.5% alcohol! Age this even longer.

June 22, 2018 - Garnet in color. Beautiful nose, big body of red berries, leather, cherry cola. Tannins are big but smooth. Got the structure for another decade easily.

October 16, 2014 - deep garnet color, dark fruit, plum earthy, petrol. full bodied, strong finish, substantial tannins. paired well with duck confit

January 29, 2014 - Classy Barolo! Lots of spices, exciting acidity, black tea flavors and floral notes, lots of silky tannins, sweet fruit, elegant wine with a long finish. A very good Giachini in 2010, a lot more elegance than in 2009. - 92 points
