November 14, 2020 - Better bottle than the last one which was a bit oxidized. Not as brown around the edges. Decanted 30 minutes. More of a Villages quality so if you are paying for Premier Cru you aren’t getting that quality. More ripe of a style and lower acidity so not a classic Burgundy profile. Wine is thin an unimpressive. Minimal extraction and one dimensional. No possible way I would buy this again. Bertheau and Hudelot Noellat Villages wines blow this away. Don’t waste your money on this. Good news is I only bought two bottles and both are gone. Yippee.

October 31, 2020 - Musty nose, Brown around the edges ( never a good sign for an 8 year old Burg). Thin, little extraction and one dimensional with very little layering of flavors. Maybe bottle variation? Only bought two to try and so happy I did. We’ll see how the other bottle turns out. Will drink it over Thanksgiving week for sure so coming up. Pretty disjointed and disappointing. 87 might be too high of a score.

May 3, 2019 - For once, a Faiveley red that doesn't feel syrupy or too plush or overwrought or just lacking/hollow in the midpalate. Yes, there's a cherry liqueur nuance, but I didn't find this hot or cakey. I wonder if they included some stems here, there's an herbal nuance I find nice. Lots of iron weight I'm guessing from the terroir, and that minerality cleans up the weight of the fruit on the finish. Nice, and was sad to see it go.

January 31, 2019 - A great place to start the tasting. A rather aromatic Pinot with ripe red fruit and a bit of spice coming into first plan. The palate offers some oak goodness (wouldn't say new) and lots of heat, that blends pretty well with the acidity. Full body. High tannins, bit on the green side. Still pretty young.
