September 20, 2020 - Dark purple, limited fading around the edges. Dark and blue fruit, touch of heat, herbal notes and a touch of green pepper/ vegetal notes, a bit thin on the finish. All in all, a solid merlot in a tough vintage.

March 25, 2016 - Nose: Dark Fruit, Blueberry, Pie Spice, Oak and a bit of heat. Palate: Chocolate covered cherries, glycerin, red hots, cedar and a grilled herb note. Finish: Dense fruit, glycerin and a touch of heat.

Solid effort for the vintage, and a good wine despite the usual house manipulation here. This Coravin pour at Flank in Waltham was highway robbery however. The list at Flank might be the most expensive in metro Boston on a markup basis. 250% is the norm, and many wines are much more heavily priced.

October 21, 2015 - Rich dark fruit flavors up front that finish with a spicy green/woody note. Better than some of the '11 cabs I've tried, although I've not had many merlots from this vintage. Nice.

May 2, 2014 - The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black pepper and cherry. The body is medium/full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.
