November 13, 2021 - Light gold color. Split bottle over 3.5 hours. Opened this to have with our seared scallops tonight and worked great. Needed about 15 minutes to come together, and then is was so nice. The nose offers pear and ripe apple, pineapple, toasted oak barrels, almond, almond custard. The palate is round and full bodied, lemon oil texture, pretty California fruits, pear custard, tart Tatin, moderate oak that feels well integrated, nice spice notes too, apple butter, and good acids carry through the finish. Last bottle, going out strong. Sensational value.
