June 11, 2020 - Tasty and still drinking well with typical chianti nose, good color, soft tannins. Not OTH but prob won't improve either. Drink up and enjoy!

January 20, 2018 - This bottle was a bit disjointed on opening and generally stayed that way for the first night. Dark color, medium bodied, astringent tannin. On the second night (after recorking and refrigerating) the astringency was gone. Drinking very nicely. Possibly a decanting would have helped on the first night.

June 5, 2015 - I tried another bottle of this from a different merchant and was surprised to find that, unlike the first bottle tasted, this one was not yet well integrated. The different components of ample acidity, tannin and concentrated fruit were there, but were disjointed. In hindsight, decanting probably would have helped.

April 30, 2015 - Agree with Barbara B's review. Very very nice cc. At this point in time, I think it is already drinking quite well, but will certainly last for years to come. Love the texture and mineral streak of this wine!

March 14, 2014 - Dense, black core, ruby rim. In foreground: clean earth, roasted/toasted kernels, tobacco. In the background: dark fruits, deep florals, roses. High level of slightly astringent but nicely textured tannins, high acidity, high alcohol (14.5%). Bigger body and heavier palate weight than expected from a CCR. Very long and complex. Modern in its body but traditional in its austerity. Improved with time in decanter. Needs a few more years of bottle age to reveal its full potential.
