  January 9, 2024 - It’s was ok. Not great. I’ve had this same bottle, as it was part of Rutherford Hills surprise case for 2-3 years, a few times. My most recent memory of this bottle was 3 years ago at a fireplace overnighter. At that time I was VERY impressed. But here I am on a Tuesday night tasting this great wine. Glad I’m retired. I find this bottle maturing the longer it’s open. It has turned from stringent to smooth and thick like an over whipped milkshake. If you can get your hands on this old girl buy it. But don’t go over $20. That’s all it’s worth.

  November 23, 2019 - Still good at this point. Plenty of fruit on the nose and palate. Yet still a bit hot when opening. But mellows out after decanting. Still have 2 bottles of this. Planning to open then at six months and a year to see how they are doing.

  February 5, 2011 - Bought 3 bottles back in early 2007, and the first 2 were simply good (87-89), but a few years has made this sing and last night's bottle was excellent - Dark, full bodied with a nose of extreme plum, blackfruit, cigar box and creamy vanilla, great balance and structure, still has life for sure, sweet, velvety smooth on the palate with excellent length, awesome (90 Points).

  October 4, 2010 - Swapped out a corked bottle of the same vintage at the winery. They offered an '04 or '05 instead, but I decided to stick with this one. May be past it's peak, but still good with earthy aromas and easy on the palate. Everything a merlot in this price range should be.
