December 19, 2013 - This is easily the best Chenin Blanc I have ever tasted. It is also the first I know of being a single vineyard, walled enclosure. This is nothing like the wines we buy in the $10-15 range. At about $20 it is well worth the difference. There is a layered, honeyed, concentrated richness from front to back. The color is rich yellow golden. The nose is honey nectarine and white flowers. What crosses the lips is a complex, honeyed, complete orange marmalade meets melon, gooseberry, apple, pear and lemon. There is super beautiful streak of minerality that the French do so well. Superb balance. Incredible mouth feel with a finish that doesn't quit showing all kinds of moderately unique flavors like butterscotch more orange marmalade.

January 4, 2013 - I served this in my wine course. Excellent nose of pear. Surprisingly complex for a wine about which relatively little has been written. Good acid and some interesting mint on the fairly long finish.
