  March 14, 2021 - PnP. Shows a little sign of age, though the nose is full of Mediterranean scrub, wildflowers, soil and bright red/dark red fruits. Dances on the med+ palate despite its EtOH, and a little chew. Something of an enigma, but it pulls it off nicely. recommended

  May 22, 2016 - Enjoyed at La Ciccia in SF, perhaps my favorite restaurant anywhere
  
  It was paler than anticipated with deep rose hue, smells faintly of herb and sweet notes recall a hot summer day. This wine amazes with both its residual sweetness, and amazing balance and softness on the tongue. I was expecting a dry tannic wine but no. There is simultaneously a richness and a lightness that dazzles. The sweetness rests on the tongue lightly but was shocking if you expect a totally dry wine
  
  The back declares 17.5% ABV and I dare naysayers to claim it is hot and unbalanced

  August 7, 2014 - I still don't know what hit me. I opened this totally unsuspecting at noon on a sailing boat wanting a drink. I had wanted to pour a bottle of Dettori bianco, but had pulled this one. With 17.5% alcohol! everyone on board was fast asleep one hour later.
  Now the wine was not at all unbalanced at this high alcohol level, it was actually quite pleasant with strawberry, raisins, note of port and sherry. I am still not sure whether natural winemaking really means you have to let this go to 17.5?
