February 4, 2021 - Great Chilean blend of 55 % Carménère and 45 % CS: vegetal note, blackberries, green olive, black pepper, graphite, mature cherry, honey, medium plus body, persistent finish. Drink now up to 5-10 years.

February 4, 2018 - Compared to the 2005 too young. Not that balanced because the fruit is dominating but you feel the ripe and firm tannins. You think this wine is more extracted than the 2005. 91-92

October 8, 2017 - I had decided that I sat on this long enough and opened one. It was well worth the wait. Decanted through an aerator and began drinking immediately. It had a wonderful nose that opened up quickly. The tannins smoothed out rather quickly. The flavors were very bright with red fruit. Drink or hold, but it's drinking wonderfully right now.

September 23, 2017 - Musty nose yet muted. Dark purple color you could confuse for Petite Syrah or Syrah. Low level of tannins and light/medium mouth feel but the taste is earthy, spicy, berries, tobacco & leather. This mixture of Carmenere & Cabernet Sauvignon would be difficult to name by most other than top professional wine tasters.

Easy to drink and unusual but if your used to more extracted wines this will likely disappoint. Don't remember what I paid but it was less than $30 so QPR is fine. Good starter or BBQ wine when you don't feel like breaking out something more significant.
