  May 12, 2020 - Good stuff, nice blend, integrated black fruit, red fruit, earth, bit of char lurking, with herb and spice.

I have worked my with consistent surprise and pleasure a whole case of the 2011 (which I think is the best vintage I've had - without disrespect to any of the succeeding vintages but the balance between the cab franc and Syrah here is sublime) and this sadly is the last bottle. There is no doubt that it has legs - it's freshness and vitality are as impressive as the steepness of colour in the glass and the fruit on the nose and the palate. But whether it has improved over the last couple of years I'm not sure. So thankfully I have two magnums remaining that I won't broach for two years st least now.

  June 19, 2014 - I really enjoyed this, although I'm also just a sucker for cab franc. Anyway, I though this was a really well-conceived blend, with that unmistakable cab franc nose catching my attention, but with its background filled out by the deep fruit of the syrah and then leant some creaminess by the merlot. It works well, and could be a good way to introduce more interesting and classic flavor profiles to red blend drinkers.
