December 29, 2021 - Attaque intacte et longueur infinie de coing mirabelle vanille toast. Pas de signe d oxydation

November 9, 2021 - Deep gold color, living up to its name. The nose has hints of peaches and nectarines; no hint of oxidation yet. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and luscious, with long legs and subdued fruit, which manages to carry the 14.5% alcohol through the finish. The wine is a monolith, consistent and unchanging from first sip to last drop, and serves as a tribute to Chapoutier's technique in both vineyard and cellar.

August 5, 2021 - Quite allot of oxidation. At opening it felt like it was not going to survive...
Then i told my colleague to decant it but guest didn't want.

    Oxidation got better
Nog 8 hours after opening the wine is alive.

Dried fruits. Mango. Raisins. Turks fruit. Super stony and pebbly, Caramel, white chocolate, so much umami.

September 19, 2020 - Opened by Allred on the boat. I would have loved to have paired this with some food rather than sipping it on the boat as I think it may have suffered in this setting. Notes of orchard fruit, but missing the waxy quality I really enjoy in these bottles.

September 19, 2020 - Wine on the River (Fox River, McHenry County): Popped and poured. Deep golden color, a bit darker than I expected. Aromas of dried apricot, quince and honey. Lovely bouquet but comes up a bit short on the palate by comparison. Apricot and honeycomb with a noticeable, albeit subtle, hint of oxidation in there. Good, enjoyable even, and would likely benefit from having been served with a meal, but just not a pristine example. 88/89 pts.
