March 7, 2024 - Voge and Friends (Llewelyn's): Purple / garnet colour. Lovely nose - just a hint of earth, some dark fruits. On the palate - grippy, some discussion of oakiness at the table but I didn't really perceive that. There's a lightness to but it's not dilute - jolly nice stuff. The table's #4 and my #3 WOTN.

March 6, 2024 - Voge & Friends (Llewelyn's Herne Hill, London): Dark fruits, some olive brine and a little twist of green pepper. Palate in a good place but in some ways feels younger and less resolved that the 2009 that preceded it.

March 6, 2024 - Cornas, Voge and Friends (Llewelyn's, Herne Hill): Dark as they come, takes a while to unfurl. Black fruit, olive tapenade, some earthiness and nuttiness, as well as hints of heated coffee grounds. This has body and weight to it, a certain firmess still - despite the age it feels like there is a lot left in the tank on this showing, belies the vintage. Very nice.

April 19, 2022 - This is sitting in a pretty dumb, flat phase right now. Some textural elements, but it really seems to have retreated into itself. Come back in a few years.

January 23, 2022 - Monthly Tasting Group: Northern Rhone and a Couple CdP's (A - Side Public House, St. Paul, MN): Dark red color. PNP, drank a small glass over an hour plus. Well this is still singing, deeply earthy with a violet infused perfumed nose, really pretty dark red and black berry fruits and subtle ground herbs and whit pepper. The palate offers a soft, satin texture, medium full bodied, lively with the same deep red and black fruits, soft plush tannins and briary, spiced finish. This is as good as its ever been. There's no rush to drink these. 93+ to 94pts.
