March 25, 2011 - I should have trusted my first impression of this wine, but I couldn't resist the 10 Euro sale the store had on this wine. It is just as awful as the last time. Guigal is equal to new oak, but this is just crazy. Bitter oak, residual sugar and weird tannins. I hope people don't judge northern Rhône on this example. I have never liked Guigal very much, but this is the worst so far.

January 3, 2011 - Nasty wine. Yuck. Inky black, over oaked, over extracted. Too bad, I would imagine this fruit must have been good to start with. My 2nd bottle, identical notes. Had no 'St Joseph' flavors at all. Flawed.

May 13, 2010 - Medium bodied. Very tasty fruit, spicy oak to the limit.

November 14, 2009 - May have suffered a bit of heat damage. No score, but plenty drinkable.
