November 10, 2023 - Wonderful to drink again, more than 4 years after the last bottle. The tasting note is similar, but the wine has lost some intensity. It is also more evidently tertiary. Still drinking extremely well but, if you have any left, I'd suggest drinking by the end of 2024. I've got one bottle left that I will enjoy during the winter months in front of the fire!

Medium garnet colour. Fully developed nose - dried bramble, liquorice, black olive, bacon, savoury, thyme, smoke, earth, leather. Dry, fresh medium+ acidity, medium- fine tannins, long finish, complex medium+ intensity flavours. Outstanding mature Côte-Rôtie. Not suitable for further ageing.

July 31, 2023 - Started out very stinky with distinct brett -- this took 30-45 minutes to blow off and for the wine to become more elegant. Surprisingly big wine for the vintage. Very good length; tar, leather, animal. Suffered slightly by being served alongside a more elegant 2000 claret.

January 30, 2021 - A creature of the vintage, this bottle was less pleasure and more curiosity. Lots of acid, earth, herb, and a bit of fruit that all seem disjointed and thin. Perhaps my last bottle will show better.

August 31, 2019 - This bottle was more savoury and gutsy than the last, but equally enjoyable. Dark garnet colour. Fully developed nose - dried bramble, liquorice, black olive, bacon, savoury, thyme, smoke, earth, leather. Dry, fresh medium+ acidity, medium fine tannins, long finish, pronounced flavours. Outstanding mature Cote-roti. Not suitable for further ageing, drinking beautifully now, although you can continue to hold if you want.
