April 30, 2021 - Drack den för sent men ändå karaktärisk smak men lite sur.

March 29, 2020 - More than a bit funky on opening, I did give it some time for its joints to loosen up a little. It did soften and round out, but there was never any penetrating fruit to balance the relatively high alcohol, so for my taste this is past it. Although old CdP can be so unpredictable(and worth the potential risks/rewards), maybe there's another phase of maturity somewhere in the future. I would be skeptical however

December 24, 2019 - Mature, reddish brown color, sour cherries. Drink up your bottles now!

May 23, 2019 - Beautiful wine, one of the most enjoyable for me so far in 2019.

Deep red, lightly opaque. A: sweet red raspberry and cherry, herbal undertones, some licorice. F: comes on with gorgeous fresh black raspberry that isn't sweet or heavy -- then herbs and exotic spice qualities, finishing long and bright with a citrus tone. Great length and depth with still present tannin, but immensely light on its feet at the same time. Might be my favorite Chateauneuf ever, and seems to have quite a long life ahead. No decline seen here.
