September 25, 2020 - Opened with no expectations past drain cleaner , was surprised by a medium leg , fresh asphalt nose and licorice and currant blend on the finish . Enjoyed with spaghetti and a red sauce , A good Friday night after a long week .

December 12, 2015 - Mostly used for cooking - tasted the remaining 1/3 bottle. Pretty easy drinking and solid for C$13-14. You got your cassis & currant, hints of greenness & smoke, add some acidity & tannin (not harsh, wouldn't say smooth/fine either) med+ body, med finish. Finish do linger somewhat in the mouth, slight bitter & chocolate finish. I think solid for the price paid

July 28, 2015 - The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cranberry, red currant, nutmeg and cinnamon. It tastes like tobacco, black currant (cassis) and red currant.

May 11, 2014 - This is not a typical cab, for it seems to rely on it's fruit, more than the aplomb from the typical back end Cabs tend to offer. The smell was cloying, not at all giving to it's taste, which was straight-forward, juicy, but light in the mouth, mild in the back. There's not a great deal of cohesion, a fun mess.

March 27, 2014 - I was in search of a full-bodied wine with richness and silky tanins that melted in my mouth like chocolate, oak, and espresso with just an ever so faint acidity. I think I missed that mark every so slightly with this wine. I could see this being delicious with a rich steak or curry, but I had it with grilled veggies and it lacked in being a well-rounded option. As I continued to have it throughout the meal, it became more appreciated but it took me into 1.15 glasses worth to fell that way. I definitely would not disregard it, I just think it was better suited for a shared experience and I enjoyed it alone.
