October 23, 2017 - nice bright cherry fruit, firm tannins and good balance, nice crunchy fruit with mineral structure underlying, plenty of time to go and soften, enjoyable if not overly complex

May 21, 2017 - The grapes are sourced from a 1,5 ha plot that is approximately 50 years old.

Luminous, deep cherry red color. Delicate yet somewhat serious nose with bright red fruit aromas of wild strawberries and raspberries, some oak spice, a little bit of prune, a hint of mature raisiny fruit and a touch of dusty wood. Dry, serious and quite acid-driven on the palate with flavors of ripe dark fruit, sour cherries, some bitter granite minerality, a little bit of savory, spicy wood and a hint of tart red berries. The wine feels moderately tannic with a sense of extraction. The finish is dry, quite tannic and pretty grippy with moderate bitterness and long, tightly-knit flavors of spicy wood, tart cranberry, rich dark fruit, some dark-toned oak spice and hints of stony minerality and sour cherries.

A very serious, powerful and tightly wound expression of Cru Beaujolais. Although the fruit is starting to show hints of maturity with hints of raisiny dried fruit character, the wine itself feels still very muscular and unresolved. I'd still wait for some years more to let the oak integrate and tannins resolve a bit more. Good stuff.

January 21, 2016 - Well, drinkeable, a mixture of sweet ans dark, fruity, sometimes a nit more like cheap juice, long constant dark tone in the back, no complexity, more for the park bench than the candle light dinner. Less sweet than other beajoilais. Gets better on the aecond day.
