January 13, 2023 - Has aged well. Very smooth, tannins have mellowed. Most enjoyable.

November 7, 2020 - May be slightly corked. Almost a gameyness to it. Overall pretty good.

August 17, 2019 - Biarritz. Excellent, as always. Impressive liquorice and subtlety. I think this 2012 was better than the 2010 of a few days back. Maybe it was the Magnum “effect”. A regular go-to affordable treat.

September 9, 2017 - RHONE WINE TASTING & LUNCHEON (The Royal Oak, Paley Street): Appearance: The wine is Clear with a Medium ruby/garnet colour
Nose: The nose is Clean and Developing, showing Medium(+) intensity primary aromas of cranberry, red cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry, black/white pepper, some liquorice; secondary aromas of vanilla, cloves and smoke and some tertiary meaty notes.
Palate: The wine is Dry in the mouth with a Medium(+) level of acidity. It has Medium(+) soft tannins and a High Level of alcohol (15.00%). It is quite full bodied and has Medium(+) intensity primary flavours of cranberry, red cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, blackberry, black/white pepper, some liquorice; secondary flavours of vanilla, cloves and smoke and some tertiary meaty notes. The finish is Medium(+)
Overall: Good concentration and quite a long finish, good acidity and soft tannins with quite some complexity
Conclusion: It is a Very Good quality wine. Can Drink Now but has Potential for Ageing; Premium priced (£30.00)
