  December 27, 2021 - Just past peak, with the fruit fading a bit, but still offering loads of pleasure. An enticing nose of candied violets and black pepper. Confected blueberry notes dominate the balanced palate, not a proverbial milkshake, if lacking a bit in complexity. Drink up.

  October 22, 2020 - No decant regrettably but a fantastic perfumed nose. Crunchy black berries, a little spice and earthiness. Tannins really well integrated. Long finish. Very nice bottle of wine. Everything was so well integrated.

  September 21, 2020 - South Africa Blind Tasting (Grapes & Grains, Temecula, CA): Tasted blind, incorrectly identified as a Stellenbosch Cab or Cab based blend
  
  Wine of the tasting for me. Rich black currant and plums, smokey oak and chocolate flavors, and round, refined tannins. Do not know much about SA Syrah or the Tulbagh region this comes from. Will definitely be doing a bit of reading.

  March 27, 2020 - Decanted 45 minutes. Deep blackcurrant colour. Nose shows brambly fruit, spice, cinnamon, Liz says like blackberry and apple crumble with cream. Perfectly mature now, rich, full bodied, still bursting with dark berry fruits. Long finish. I'd say perfect now, don't keep any longer.
