Community Tasting Notes 15

  • Rywyine Likes this wine:

January 27, 2024 - This was substantially more alive than the previous bottle. Both of these were purchased via winebid. Generous nose of blue fruit, cassis, cocoa, green pepper for sure. Full bodied. Still with tannins but not distracting. Palate of blue/red fruit, cassis, hints of chocolate, spice. There’s some acid there for balance. I get hints of Etoh from time to time. I think it was listed at 14.8. I liked this wine. It’s tasty. It doesn’t blow me away and is a bit big but I had it with a big burger and that was pretty good.

August 20, 2023 - Bliebfruited with some light plum action. Maybe closer to some Oregon blueberry. Pyrazine, minimal tannin, good acid. Solid.

September 10, 2022 - Fruity and fresh. Plums, berries and currants over a stony core. Quite good.

February 22, 2022 - Nose: blackberries, blueberries, bell peppers, cinnamon, baking spices, vanilla. Palate: licorice, blackberry, leather, pepper, bell pepper, orange bitters. Long finish.

September 6, 2021 - Very similar to the 2011 Sheridan block 1 that preceded it. Great structure and acidity, plum and dark fruit, long lasting crisp finish. Great with grilled steak
