March 1, 2019 - It’s been a couple of years since I’ve tasted this wine and it’s coming along nicely
Colour med to light density garnet to ruby red , pink to clear edges 15/15
Nose med intensity savoury great complexity cranberry, raspberry, plum pepper, dried herbs, mushroom , oak, blood, smoky 28/30
Palate med to full flavoured flavours follow on from the nose plenty of chewy acidity present long dry finish 40/44
Overall lovely wibe made in the burgundy style , almost rustic in its flavour profile 9/11

February 28, 2019 - Nice elegany Pinot from Central Otago. Valli being one of it's best producers.

December 24, 2018 - This superb wine is aging beautifully. Gibbston was the crown jewel of the 2012 Valli lineup. Dark, acidic, lithe, complex, even fruity (on the darker side) - it remains the complete package as it enters its second era.

January 6, 2018 - Burgundy style red, medium bodied. Nose and palate are moderately congruent, totaling cranberry, raspberry, clove, pepper, herbs, damp forest, oak, blood, tobacco. Vibrant, almost forceful, acidity. Needs a bit of air but drinking well right now. Finish was short on day 1 and adequately long on day 2. Recommended
