December 28, 2021 - Drinking beautifully right now! No indication of its age on the rim or on the nose in spite of the critics. Decanted to facilitate opening. Found no solids after pouring out a few glasses. Really nice rich red fruit flavors and spice. Needs to open a good bit more to fully assess the complexity. After two small glasses the complexity showed up. This is a wonderful wine and a bargain of sorts.

November 24, 2020 - Dark purple black color with a watery meniscus. Scents of plum, spice, a bit of toast and a touch of vanilla. Lightish plum fruit on the palate with smooth, ripe tannins, spicy wood and a touch of heat on the finish. Low in acidity. I don’t see this improving. Drink up. Best on its own.

October 24, 2020 - I'm somewhat disappointed with this bottle. Alcohol permeated the nose and the body of the wine so such an extent that it seems more medicinal than anything. It did not last the night before turning into something worse like old and tired.

August 8, 2017 - Once we started drinking this wine, we couldn't stop. It is very delicious and goes extremely well with meals and evening snacks. It has a deep core of red and dark red fruit along with some spice. There were no defects. I did decant it and found no solids. Beautiful dark red color.

April 8, 2017 - Huge wine with massive fruit and alcohol. Complex spice, earth and fruit but for me overwhelmed by alcohol. Passed up on the '15s as a result of this wine. I live in Paso Robles, we get these big wines locally and I look to old world for elegance. This delivers opulence. No thanks. I don't see how these would age.
