December 25, 2020 - Had this on Christmas Eve with roasted duck and gravy. Closed and neutral at first but then...Completely round and smooth with no edges at all. Long giving aftertaste with herbs, a bit of spicy but not peppery. Multi layered complex wine with new hints coming through with every sip. Very elegant and not heavy - you do sense the burgundy style here. Utter brillance.

March 16, 2020 - Based on the current views it's clear to me this wine has benefited from cellaring, because it was singing when I recently had it at La Gavroche in London.

This was a complex CdP with layer after layer of discernible aroma and palate notes. On the nose it exhibited deep rich red fruit with hints of Porcini mushrooms, tobacco, cured meat, cedar and some forest floor. On the palate the fruit and earthiness was coexisting in a well balanced experience and mouth feel. The finish on this wine was beautiful and impressed everyone at the table.

This wine is in peak condition and one I highly recommend.

December 26, 2018 - Took about four hours for this wine to really show its beauty. Paired against a 1998 Beaucastel which, of course, was much more open. Surprisingly, these showed very similar after that time, with deep rich fruit and hints of tobacco, red meat and a bit of forest floor. Mounir is a genius winemaker and is pushing the quality envelope here just as he does in Burgundy.

July 3, 2018 - Short note - a lighter more elegant style of cdp, dark cherries, strawberry, light pepper, oak, vanilla. This style of cdp from Rotem and Mounir is very much appriciated. Drink now and next 10 years, outstanding qualityn 92p
