    January 18, 2024 - Pinot funk nose.
Soft plum fruit, candied almost, low-med tannic grip and low acid. 13.5% Alc.
Very open and quaffable right now.

November 29, 2023 - @ Manhatta NYC. Highly aromatic with a balance of earth and herbal spices. The attack is acidic with integrated tannins, fresh berries. This doesn’t need more time - drinking at peak with 10 years of bottle age. Only complaint is the somewhat ephemeral finish. A solid effort.

September 6, 2018 - The color was ruby red with purple hints and a very slight fade toward the rim of the glass. The nose was a wonderful mixture of earth, fruit, along with strong hints of spices and herbs. No strong presence of alcohol. The first taste gave minimum acid, fresh fruit and delicious spices. The finish was long and the fruit and spices carried throughout the drinking process. Tannin seems to be well integrated. On reflection, this wine had an interesting side of velvety smoothness in texture which positively contrasted with the spice and herbs. This particular bottle appears to be reaching its full drinking window. 3 more bottles to consume and based on the first taste we will use this wine for special occasions over the next few years. Its that good! We consumed this wine with corn roasted risotto, baked salmon and calamari. Scrumptious!
