January 11, 2016 - Not overly complex, but well done for a Bourgogne. Lots of red fruit up front, especially sour cherry and cranberry. Not too much terroir shows through here, but great value.

July 25, 2015 - Quite fruit-forward and surprisingly ripe nose. More black than red berries on the palate with pleasant tannins merely balancing out the fruit. Very pleasant and approachable, but could do with some more minerality and/or acidity for the sake of overall balance and freshness. Concentration is well above its AOC, considering it is "merely" a Bourgogne Rouge. Will probably buy more.

February 7, 2015 - Bit of a dissapointment. Feels like some generic italian red.

December 15, 2014 - A biodynamic Pinot Noir from a 4,9 ha vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin which used to be Villages-level, but was demoted to AOC Bourgogne. The vineyard is mainly from the mid-1960's. Fermented spontaneously and macerated in cement vats for at least 17 days. Aged for 14-16 months in exclusively old barrels, after which the wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Translucent and moderately pale cranberry red color. Very aromatic, attractive and slightly wild nose with fragrant aromas of sour cherries, crunchy cranberries, earthy Pinosity intermingling with funkier barnyard tones, a little bit of complex spices and a hint of dried flowers. Thoroughly classical Burgundy nose. The wine is fresh, quite light-bodied and very crunchy on the palate with pure and focused flavors of cranberries, pronounced black cherry and sour cherry character, some earthy and slightly funky Pinosity, a little bit of astringent lingonberry skin and a touch of violets. The wine is remarkably balanced and structured with its high acidity and modest-to-medium, slightly gripping tannins. The finish is bone-dry, somewhat astringent and quite intense with crunchy and savory flavors of tart red berries, sour cherries, earthy Pinosity, some wood bark and a hint of herbal bitterness.
A relatively light, but so incredibly pure, focused and structured red Burgundy. The focus and the purity here are just remarkable and definitely the key aspects in describing this wine. Although the wine feels quite light and delicate, it is also so wonderfully structured and balanced that I have no doubts this wine is capable of aging a decade more, probably even longer. Superb and so classic stuff. -

September 22, 2014 - Burgundy 2012 tasting (Wein Kreis Stuttgart): Colour: Light purple on the rims
Nose: Very fruity & sweet with aromas of kiwi & cassis.
Palate: Medium acidity, some tannins noticeable, "easy drinking", a bit one-dimensional.
