November 25, 2018 - PnP. Quite a bit of volatile blowoff. Color is garnet with some fade at the edge. Initially, quite hot and a bit linear on the palate with some red fruit. Stayed somewhat hot through dinner and after with a ferric taste and some other off flavors coming and going. Notes of black cherry. Not very good for something supposedly in the middle of its drinking window.

December 19, 2017 - A wild ride indeed. The first night it was undrinkable. I honestly feared it was corked. Decanted and tried again 24 hours late. The funk had blown off. Drank over the next day. Good, but definitely not worth the money.
