August 21, 2017 - Nice raisin mid palate, slightly sweet port taste, balanced, smooth, and ready to drink. Not familiar with Amarones but this was a pleasant experience with cheese and olives over a game of chess.

January 22, 2012 - Difficult to rate as I don't have much experience with Amarone. Was worried when I poured it as it was on the brownish side. Tasted somewhere between a dry red and a vintage port. Not everyone liked it by I was certainly a fan!

June 5, 2011 - or better--this was the last bottle out at least 16-18 over the last 10 years. (The actual count was lost during a Program switch-over). When this cork was removed it was just as dry, just the bottom was wet. The taste and arroma were to die for, and the saddness is "could I have bought any more"; it was really that good--and priced right at the time.

March 12, 2011 - drank about a year ago--BIG wine. Has a late harvest taste to it with a plum or raisin really coming thru. Tannins well-resolved. Thick and smooth--very enjoyable--does need either a steak or something rich to pair with it
