    February 25, 2024 - Marvelous. No decant.

November 23, 2023 - Bought on release from the winery, stored @ 58 degrees or less, and decanted off minimal sediment for an hour. This was all about ripe black cherries, earth, florals, and spice. A beam of citrus peel acidity on the finish was interesting, but became too much after 5+ hours as the fruit faded. Try soon if you've got it.

August 19, 2023 - Almost exactly one year (8/10/22) since our previous bottle and this wine continues to delight.
Slo-oxed for 15 minutes but continued to open throughout the first glass. The color was a medium+ ruby to a watery rim. There were lots of dark red fruits along with some spice on the nose. The medium bodied palate showed black cherry, blackberry, blueberry and cranberry along with a good dose of spice and some earth. The acidity was balancing and wrapped everything into a smooth and very enjoyable package.
I will admit that last year's statement that "...I'm not certain (this wine) will get any better than it is now" was wrong. This bottle was better in that it was more revealing on the palate and just more comforting overall. This wine should continue to hold - and may just continue to develop - for years to come.

June 16, 2023 - Wow! This is really singing. Loads of red fruit, resolved tannins, and beautiful structure. I think this still has upside, at least based on this bottle. A serious Oregon Pinot. Reminds me of Clos Vougeot.

August 10, 2022 - PnP but the last glass - about an hour after opening - was the best as it was smoother and more integrated. The color was a clean medium violet. The nose put forth lots of dark red fruits and some earth notes. The medium bodied palate starts with this abundance of darker red fruits mixed with some black berries, adds some earth, then a heavy dose of spice. The acidity was up to the task of balancing all this fruit and the finish became smoother and more balanced as time progressed. This wine should hold for several more years but I'm not certain it will get any better than it is now - with air up front.
