Community Tasting Notes 1

  • Lijmes Likes this wine: 90 points

January 26, 2014 - Clear Pale straw. Nose of Marlborough grassiness and green capsicum; secondary notes of grapefruit with a tinge of passion fruit. Refreshing, medium on palate, lightly sweet yet acidity balances out perfectly with the almost creamy mouthfeel. Transition is moderately smooth with a fair bit of complexity, carrying through to a long semi-dry (with a hint of sweetness), grapefruity finish. A beautiful wine jus slightly rough round the edges however one of great value, well rounded and a great aperitif.
