January 26, 2014 - This came to us and hit me as a COMPLETE surprise. A mind-boggingly great and outstanding wine by the Japanese grape Koshu. Colour is watery and the nose smells like glue. But everything else is World Class Amazing!

It's all there in the mouth. It's sweet but the high acids balance it perfectly. There is a fabulous concentration of fruit and flavor that is still far from developed. But it is all there.
(There is no botrytis and no oak.)
Today, this pure wine is sprawling: Acids swimming on top, richness of the palate hanging in mid-air and the sweetness running around. But, we will hunt down a couple of 1/2-btls for the long term.
Should do World-turningly great in 20+ years.
    Wife: GREAT!
Definitely for cellaring. Will buy for the long-term.
