June 24, 2023 - Nearly 7 years after my last note and this wine is drinking spectacularly well. Very soft floral aromas. Dark brick red in the glass. Dark black fruit, bold blackberry, anise, and morello cherry. Soft integrated tannins with nice acidity and a medium+ finish. Lovely.

October 5, 2018 - My 88 is a pretty good score for me. I try not to grade inflate.
    Nose: blackberry, dark ripe fruits
Taste: blueberry, cherry, floral overtones, fine tannins, acid seems to have already peaked and while not flabby it is mos def ready to drink ASAP so if in your cellar pop it. While has nice flavors was not so strong as to overpower a nice meaty sautéed trout w/capers
Finish: medium long, medium structure def can tell us mostly Merlot given its typically softer mouthfeel

December 7, 2017 - Rounding I to form. Blew away the Melka. More elegant than the Pahlmayer. Really shined at our Napa dinner.

February 25, 2017 - Well-made Bordeaux blend that is not dominated by the cabernet sauvignon. Decanted for an hour. Smooth tannins and softer fruit notes that makes it more versatile for a wider range of food pairings.

January 29, 2017 - I gave this a 2 hour decant. It was quality wine with interesting complexity and a decent finish, but I got a lot of herbaceousness and anise, which put me off a bit. In the end, I think there was too much cab franc in the blend from too cool a year for my taste. But still, it was well made.
