Community Tasting Notes 30

April 15, 2023 - Deep red with some bricking. This is quite nice! Aromatic, with iron, berry, and mint notes. Slightly herbal, with some earthy, beefy notes. In the mouth it’s still quite structured, with a sweet berry entry, and the layers of eucalyptus, wood, and graphite. Slightly rich on the finish, the tannin is still very much present and might be the winner in the end. But right now, tasty!

January 13, 2023 - Lot of the edge has come off the wine. Not tannin heavy.

April 22, 2022 - My last bottle from a half case purchase. Still showing some rough edges and hard, unripe stone fruits. With time a bit more herbal, forest elements come through but doesn’t seem to really ever open up and flourish.

March 24, 2022 - Started a little flat, but got better. Had a good cork in it so this wine can go longer should you choose too hold. Shame 2011 was not a better year in CA.

November 28, 2021 - In a good window, and can still use a brief decant. . Full bodied, dark fruits and complex.
