    December 11, 2021 - Like a well aged Cab.

March 3, 2017 - Deep color and full-bodied with jammy fruit. Notes of blackberries, tart cherries, raspberries, pepper, and vanillin. There is a tiny bit of orange peel in the finish. Medium acid. It has pretty much aged perfectly. The tannins have begun to drop out but to the right degree.

Vegan food notes: This wine complimented the vegan tamales quite well. It also enhanced the guacamole and vegan burritos, however, it boosted the spice of the food a bit. Since we eat our burritos mild, that worked well for us.

February 7, 2017 - Very nice spice and flavors, bit thin for me

January 7, 2016 - Medium plus nose, very floral, persimmon, oak, cedar, violets, black fruit, pine. Palate very smooth, vanilla, black fruit, I correctly picked out the American oak that gives it a little sweetness (23% new says the website). Medium tannins. Different and nice value. Blended with 3% Petite Sirah.

February 27, 2014 - Medium plus nose of black fruit, dark flowers, fresh game, some spice. Palate shows lush but smooth dark fruit, molasses touched oak, blackberry, candied black plums, medium tannins are tasty. Nice example of cool climate Syrah.
