July 4, 2017 - 14% alcohol, cheap plastic wrap, might be real cork, Grenache 80%, Mourvèdre 10%, Syrah 10%, imported by Lionstone International, Joliet, IL, gold appellation "par le guide Gilbert & Gaillard", distributed by the Wall Street Journal Wine Club 12/14; brown/dark red, medium to long legs, vintured and served/tasted at about 13 degrees C; nose of alcohol, fruit, citrus; taste of HEAVY WATER -- not boring but neutral, unobtrusive minerals, dry on the back of the tongue, notes of strawberries, squash, dense mouthfeel, nice balance of tannin with sweet, WOODY, keeps well in the fridge overnight; pair with filet mignon and many other foods and dishes; not so good for sipping

August 3, 2016 - Berry aromas, fruit forward flavors. Some notes of pepper. Light body, fairly short finish. Decent and enjoyable though nothing spectacular.

January 28, 2016 - My palate had no major issues with this wine. For a $10 Cotes Du Rhone, it delivers plenty of dark fruit and peppery spice. Straightforward, with no hard edges. Simple but pleasant.

July 30, 2015 - I think the average 82 rating on CT is spot on. Drinkable and if you like peppery wines you may like this. A little more integrated the second night but still lots of pepper on the to tongue along with a mix of red/ dark berries.

January 17, 2015 - once wine, though not the depth of flavour I was expecting. Not as nice and drinkable as the Cabalie. However, nice wine, and probably better to drink with food. First time drank on its own.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), red currant and blackberry. The body is light. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.
