March 3, 2023 - PnP after drinking the 2014 and the difference is striking but there is still a family resemblance, there’s so much more everything here, but also needs more time, while the 14 is easy and ready now.
August 13, 2022 - Cherries, mint, some herbs. Medium body and weight, lots of fruit on the mid-palate, and some chalkiness on the finish.
January 28, 2022 - Belle couleur sombre, nez fermé, sous-bois, lichen, légèrement poivré, cuir, chocolat, fruits noirs, bouche encore très tannique, fruitée, élégante, alcoolique, belle complexité, belle longueur, un bon Barbaresco dans un millésime exceptionnel, beau potentiel (2030-2035 ?).
October 10, 2021 - Seems to be ready. A very elegant northern Italian style. Not very Nebbiolo typical. Elegant medium tannins. Long aftertaste. Need a bit of time in the glass and food. But ready to drink. Expected more layers.
August 27, 2020 - Some bricking at the rim. Pulled the cork 10am, decanted at 6pm and drunk from 8pm onwards. the aeration has really helped the aromatics and fruit come to the fore, fresh and bright cherries with a touch of leather, there’s a bite from the fairly fine tannins still, would be fine with food, but the fruit is just lovely and crisp on its own. Very enjoyable and should improve
March 27, 2020 - Medium ruby/garnet color with some bricking towards the rim. Notes of sweet red berries, some dried berries, dried flowers, sweet spices, graphite, also some mint and tobacco leaf. It‘s medium bodied, with good persistence, has medium+ acidity and medium+ tannin that is still present but not disturbing. Good length. A mid-weight Barbaresco with a touch of rusticity, probably coming from the vintage. Good value too.

February 3, 2017 - Sweet red cherries, licorice, spearmint, palate is fleshy with a taut structure. Wine is showing young, but has excellent balance. Excellent
December 6, 2016 - AB Christmas Bash (Chez Bruce, London): More obvious oak here, lots of vanilla on the nose. Similar profile to the 04, just more padding and gloss and youth. ***(*)
