    Complex and vibrant, with the above in more even balance on the palate, but with red fruits/florality emerging. Instantly appealing and interesting. Still some pretty solid tannins in the background, maybe needing another decade to soften, but there's plenty depth there to stop it feeling closed. Acidity decently supporting, but not poking out at all.

    Drinkable (and enjoyable) now for sure, but be prepared for the tannins. Personally, I'd like to check back in on this in 8-10 years time.

    November 20, 2022 - Great wine. Earthy nose to begin with for 30 minutes. then it opened with still red fruit but also tartar, vanille, tobacco. Full bodied with good balance - and lots of tannins. very dry. Long beautiful aftertaste.

    October 8, 2021 - My 6th, group's 4th of 6 in 2010 B & B tasting with 3.5 hr decant. This was the one wine with a very healthy earth and leather nose and palate, even after 5 hr after opening. Some people love this addition from the barrel, and some not so much. Generally, I like it, and this bottle was no exception. The detraction for me was the underlying fruit was not as lively and attractive as the other wines in the tasting.

    November 24, 2018 - D1h. Garnet red, yellow tinged, 4.5. Wonderful complex spicy bouquet, roses, tar, old casks. Harmonious palate, fair amount of tannin, long finish. Drink now-2025 at least.

    August 29, 2016 - Much harder and more closed than the 09. Shows classic Nebbiolo notes of cherry, roses, and carbaceous elements, though not full of character in this instance. Very drying, almost agressive tannins. This needs lots of time to settle, but I'm not convinced this has the same interest on the palate. Shame considering '10 is generally considered the better year.

    August 16, 2015 - A l'ouverture et servi un peu froid (13° sortie de cave) pas grand chose, évidemment. Une déception prévisible une fois gouté à 16° car les tanins sont durs et les arômes peu démonstratifs.

    Il se réchauffe petit à petit et s'ouvre dans la carafe et les grands verres zalto (bordeaux). On découvre ainsi tout son potentiel.

    On perçoit de jolies notes de framboises, un caractère terrien, pas encore de roses, mais un tout petit peu de goudron. La robe est déjà légèrement tuilée.
    En bouche, grande souplesse et tanins à la texture poudrée très présents en finale. Un vin qui, malgré ma très courte expérience en Barolo et d'après mon jugement, ira certainement loin.

    Beaucoup aimé, et à 31€ j'en rachèterai certainement.
