Community Tasting Notes 2

December 13, 2023 - still dark and showing little age. Somewhat closed now. Needs some years.
edit: looking at it in the cold light of the morning, the colour is showing some age, and it's more supple in the mouth. Still needs age.

March 13, 2019 - Still young. Transparent with youthful meniscus. Nose lively and pure, almost voluptuous. Mouthfeel integrated and savoury, almost salty. Tannin evident but luxurious and totally harmonious. I'm glad that I have a few more of these. Try again in 2 years- no hurry- but I might have trouble keeping my hands off them.
Additional comment: next day it seemed a bit more tannic, so my rave should be tempered. In my defence, I had just had a 2007 Chateauneuf so the Burgundy was a revelation. Maybe 90 would have been a better mark?
