April 15, 2018 - Deep red with violet rim.
Nose of ripe cherry and minerals.
Mostly fruit in the palate. Traces of the new world. Minerals and powerful dark fruit.

February 16, 2018 - - Ruby color - An interesting and tasty blind. Light ruby red and guessing a thin skinned grape. No front palate but sweet mid palate. I got cherry fruits suggesting Pinot Noir but others did not. Not as tannic as a Sangiovese or Nebbiolo would suggest. Raspberry and nicely acidic. 100% Carignane. Who knew? Drink now to 2020.

August 5, 2016 - Lovely nose! Deep, rich fruit (berry and crisp apple), floral (the label says lilac, and it's so true!), and a bit of green pepper. The palate unveils orange peel, licorice, tobacco, and talc. Light and drinkable, but intriguing and satisfying. Especially at this price point, a surprisingly pleasant little wine. Would definitely buy it again.
