May 1, 2010 - Wo-ow! Don't think the acidity has faded at all... still very sweet, this reminded me of a German TBA (even though Semillon is of course a Sauternes grape). Not cloying, couple of years will probably mellow it out (10 years will probably take the edge off for those finding it too sweet). Terrifically intense and fresh. Best unfortified dessert wine ever from Australia.

March 31, 2010 - Good fruit & sweetness, acidity has faded not so well balanced. Colour has gone from deep gold to bronze....drink now or use in a dessert.

May 31, 2006 - Great depth of aromas to the nose with honey, botrytis, peaches and pears, crème Brule, burnt toffee and caramel. The palate is just a bit over the top, especially in comparison to the balanced 2000 vintage of this wine that I served late last year. The acid structure is there in the background, but it is just overawed by the level of sweetness. It did seem to come together slightly with some air? Anyway, good but not great.
