May 29, 2022 - Expressive, well structured wine “of the south”. Intense nose of wild berries, chocolate, liquorice, menthol, port. Full bodied in the mouth, mature cassis, cherry, plum, cassis, raisin, chocolate, with a powerful phenolic, finish. Excellent and beating a Clos des Papes by several lengths.

May 23, 2021 - Leather, plum and smoke / Licorice and baked fruit / Spiced-plum and mocha
Alcohol seems to be quite prevalent, there's plenty of heat here - tertiary characters are all over this one - really has a disappointing character as it opens; fruit has totally disappeared moving to forest floor with earthy-smoky and fig ... This is a real disappointing wine.

March 27, 2021 - Drinking at peak. Decanted for 1 hour. Don’t think this will hold up that much longer.

December 3, 2020 - A structured powerful inky thick wine. Big aromas of dark pruny berries (dark berries but bordering pruny like an amarone). Black pepper, beef, iodine. Portends to a very big "Shiraz" style. Good herbal almost menthol nature with garrigue as well. Complex big nose. But not an overpowering room-filling nose.
Flavours .... pruny stewed dark berries and plums, cherry liquor. Raisined like an amarone only without the fruit "sweetness". More bitterness mixed in. Garrigue, black pepper, big filling wine. Still has that dryness, dusty tannins still prevalent. Nice overall flavour depth and longish finish. A big wine, bordering over the top but somehow stops just short. Not quite my style but nice for a change.

October 22, 2020 - My last of three and clearly the best bottle. Fruit is still big but more integrated and balanced than earlier bottles. I would be drinking these.
