August 18, 2023 - Berry, sappy goodness, with plenty of youthfulness. Long finish of sappy, zippy acidity. Even better the next day. Yum!

July 22, 2023 - Very tasty. Kind of sappy - stemmy herbal in a hoppy/pine kind of way, with deep cherry fruit on the palate. No sign of fading aromatically at all, although the palate does end with a bit of austerity, drying sensation that probably will continue to build.

December 7, 2022 - I find the CT drinking window of 2015-2022 pretty funny as this is the first bottle I've opened from the case and it is singing yet has many years left. Clear medium ruby. Fairly intense nose of musky oak, a variety of spice, red fruit, sap. Medium bodied, though with a mouth-coating viscosity; med-low tannin, high acidity, low alcohol. Sap, pine, and red fruit (cranberries, raspberries) on the palate. Med-long finish of sap and red fruit, with the cranberry-like acidity lasting for a quite a while. Overall, delicious, more sappy than fruit, long acidity, and a fascinating nose that made me think of "manly man cologne" type commercials. Drink now, or (at least for this case which seems to still have some of its youthful charm) over the next several years.

October 23, 2021 - 12.5% - Clear (with some sediments), med with a bricking hue / clean, med+ intensity - redcurrant, cranberry, dried rose petals, dry forest floor, spice, musk / dry, med+ acidity, low silky tannin, med- body, med+ intensity with a persistent length.

October 25, 2020 - 12.5% - Clear, med ruby / clean, pronounced intensity of wild raspberry, cranberry, fresh flower bouquet, wet pebble stone, cinnamon stick / dry, med+ acidity, low silky tannin, med- body, pronounced intensity with a lingering finish with all the notes carrying through. Another stellar Cote du Py from Foillard.
