February 8, 2014 - Another stunner. This wine had everything. Much like 1955 Maison Leroy La Romanee, this wine was kaleidoscopic in its myriad qualities. This is a melange of aromatic and fully resolved bright red fruit, old piny/resiny cigar box, sweet soil and earth, a hint of navel orange peel, and a beguiling finish that makes me think it's another world in the glass. Or as Barf so eloquently stated, "They've gone to plaid!"
