Community Tasting Notes 1

April 2, 2008 - Deep red color to this wine with a purple core to it. This nose is big with cassia, cherries, sawdust, allspice, clove and violets. In the mouth this is also a big wine with a full mouthfeel, fine strong tannins, a medium high acidity, and medium to long finish. Lot's spice in this sucker with clove, allspice, cinnamon and more all combining with a dark fruit core that seems to need to open up. A modern Rioja that I would like to taste again in about 3-5 yrs. 4/5
