December 29, 2023 - Acquired on Auction - Clear intense opaque wine with a darker garnet
to slightly purple core with slight thinning at the rim. No brick detected. Healthy nose with reserved intensity when compared to color. Mixed primary and secondary notes of blackberry, raspberry, jam, smoked meats, vanilla, and chocolate.
Dry full body with approachable tannin. Balanced with reasonably long finish. Okay to cocktail but would pair well with red meat, or other dish that can hold own against a big red. Drinking well but okay to hold. Mixed feelings on if will improve from here. Open final bottle in 3-5yrs. -

September 22, 2022 - Really appreciated the smooth, integrated flavors here. Plenty of grapey flavors, but also blackberry and plum. No tannins to speak of, this is in a prime drinking window and should be consumed now.
