November 25, 2021 - Bacon, faint lavender, in its prime now

September 17, 2020 - Decanted 90mins. Full ruby with a touch of cherry. Richer on the nose than the Closel-Roch alongside. Really quite dense and fleshy with some spice. Fine but quite dense velvet in texture. Again, long and rich. Good body. At the start of its window with a decant. ****

July 28, 2019 - More Levet than Côte-Rôtie, or to look at it another way, halfway between Barolo and Côte-Rôtie. Nose of tar and dark cherries, but neither very powerful nor very precise. Medium-weight in the mouth with plenty of depth and a certain juiciness. But still tannic and lacks precision to the tar and dark cherry fruit. Disappointing. Perhaps in a shut-down phase, but those are much less likely with Rhônes than Burgundy or Bordeaux, and instead, this comes across to me the way Levet wines almost always do. Cellared since original release.

June 22, 2019 - Lovely nose with savory flavors of meat, dark fruit, game, rosemary, and pepper. Good acidity and medium-high tannins. Dark berries and fruit, leather, and gamey notes on the palate. Nice finish. Great Cote Rotie!

April 18, 2017 - Quick note from the SoH party - Had had few friends enjoy this as a qpr of N rhone. Nice smoke, meat, fruit and structure
