December 16, 2020 - Very nice Northern Rhone. Lots of barnyard funk that blew off (mostly) after 2 hours. Very earthy. Palate hits big with perfectly ripe fruit: blueberry, blackberry, black raspberry. Nice, full mouthfeel, with prominant but smooth tannins. Good acidity on the medium long finish.

November 17, 2020 - Bright red fruit, still tannic at this still relatively early and youthful stage (11/2020). Earthy notes, woody, but very smooth. Decanted for 90 minutes but on reflection should have gone longer as the last glass was the best. Drunk on it's own for the first half, with pasta arrabiata for the second which it matched well. First of 12 bottles, will happily wait a while for the next.

October 25, 2020 - Virket "over the top" rett etter åpning, men etter en time i karaffel så kom den på plass. Dyp rød med oransje kant. Klassisk intens aroma med preg av mørke bær, kjøtt, sur-søt frukt, kjeller, mineraler og pepper. I munn er den medium fyldig og har relativt høy syre med tanninene litt mer dempet. Best på aroma, litt tynnere frukt i smak. Viktig å lufte denne minimum en time før konsum. Ok følge til elg fillet.

August 10, 2020 - During a Syrah/Shiraz varietal classroom blind tasting. Medium ruby, brown rim, aged. Recognizable as French, peppery nose, lots of meaty elements, Maggi and barnyard funk. Earthy palate, prominent acidity, medium finish.

July 5, 2020 - After four hours of decant time this blossomed, with a nose of dark fruit, bloody meat and light spices. The palate is full bodied, with a classic Rhone profile. Have not had a syrah from this appellation in a while, I won't make this mistake again.
