October 7, 2014 - One of the dangers of wine-tasting trips is the tendency to join wine clubs on a whim, emboldened by a few too many tastes. Hence our new relationship with Hanna. Not much known it seems, but the wines are quality: bold reds from the Alexander Valley. This one has intense color, deeply extracted, lots of menthol notes, dark berries; although relatively young, pretty accessible, blueberries, mint, coffee, lingering pleasantly. Sometimes it is worth paying more.
