April 26, 2020 - Popped this for our anniversary. First time I've had a bottle from this house. In very good shape for being 24 years old. Rich and bready, with a healthy dose of sherry and spice. A little on the acidic and bitter side at first, but opened up after about 20 mins in the glass to reveal a very mellow wine. Excellent with food. For the price, a great QPR

January 15, 2017 - The first thing we noticed with this bottle was the great bubbles that this bottle still had. A nice golden color and a wonderful nose. The flavors are still all there but have mellowed out to a fine old Champagne. I doubt if this will get a lot better, but it is wonderful now.

November 19, 2016 - A nice surprise here as this was a bottle that was younger in appearance than the one last consumed in 2013 in spite of it's age. Unlike one of the other taster's (thewiz) notes I could not find a disg. date or code, but as in all my bottles from a purchase delivered in April 2006 ( so probably late 2005 Disg.) Very fresh and crisp with good focus and brightness throughout yet with smoothness and softness at the same time which gave it great tension. A classic 96 which developed more brioche and Hazelnut characteristics with air. While I believe this has 50% PN it reminded me more of a BdB. This bottle could have easily held up another decade or more. Excellent.

January 29, 2016 - (Disgorged spring of 2006) Nice yellow colour with a mature nose showing cedar, caramelized apples and plums and with a nice smoothness on the palate showing oxidized apples and with a nice typical acidic lime finish. Drinking very nicely right now, but feels like it has some more development left before peaking.

May 23, 2015 - A decent champagne but the acidity dominates too much.
